PERSONALITY ADJECTIVES - PART-1


Personality adjectives are used to describe persons' character.

Let's take a look at the following personality adjectives and how they help us to describe various personalities.  

1. TRUSTWORTHY

Meaning: Someone who is reliable, honest and is able to keep your secrets.

For instance,

   1) Leave a spare key with a trustworthy neighbour.

        2) Vivek is considered as a trustworthy man.

        3) Ram is a trustworthy and level-headed leader.

2. MOODY

Meaning: Someone who changes their mood a lot.

For instance,

        1) As a teenager, Raju was aggressive and moody.

        2) Moody people are very difficult to deal with.

        3) Leela was moody at times and easily irritated.

3. ATTENTIVE

Meaning: Someone who is full of attention, watching and listening carefully.

For instance,

1) She was very attentive to her guests. 

2) The hotel staff are attentive.

3) A good teacher is always attentive to their students’ need.

4. CAUTIOUS

Meaning: Someone who takes a long time to make up their mind and is very careful to avoid problems or danger.

For instance,

1) Losses make us more cautious.

2) Seenu is very cautious about committing himself to anything.

3) Anbu is a cautious driver.

5. FLEXIBLE

Meaning: Someone who adapts quickly to new situations and doesn’t mind changes.

For instance,

1) Muthu is a flexible worker.

2) A flexible person develops himself and the organisation.

3) You should learn to be flexible.

6. WITTY

Meaning: Someone who is quick-thinking and clever with words.

For instance,

1) Aravind was a witty orator.

2) Janu engaged her in witty repartee.

3) Sankar was a witty raconteur.

7. DIPLOMATIC

Meaning: A person is able to control a difficult situation without upsetting anyone.

For instance, 

1) The salesman’s diplomatic nature helped him make good deals with clients.

2) Diplomatic leaders are trying to bring peace through polite conversations.

3) Police should be diplomatic in dealing with criminals.

8. OPTIMISTIC

Meaning: a person who is inclined to be hopeful and to expect good outcomes.

For instance,

1) Mano is optimistic about his chances of winning gold medals.

2) An optimistic attitude can go a long way. 

3) Mithun is an optimistic young fellow.

9. SOCIABLE

Meaning: A person who is willing to talk and be friendly with other people.

For instance,

1) Roger is a sociable person.

2) Man by nature is a sociable creature. 

3) The event is more interesting and sociable.

10. VERSATILE

Meaning; Describes a person having many different skills or qualities. Versatility allows you to adapt to many different situations.

For instance,

1) Vikram is a versatile performer.

2) Khushwant Singh is a versatile writer.

3) Teachers have to be versatile to cope with different levels.
