                                             English Phrasal Verbs

1.    Come Apart

-         When something breaks or separates piece by piece.

Ex: I picked up the book and it came apart in my hands.

 

2.    Come down with

-         When you start to experience the symptoms of a disease or illness.

Ex: I think we are coming down with the flu.

 

3.    Do with

-         To make a connection between two or more things.

Ex: Physics and Mathematics both have to do with logic.

 

4.    Do away with

-         To dispose of something.

Ex: Spring cleaning is the perfect time to do away with things you no longer use.

 

5.    Clear Out

-         To remove things completely from an area or place.

Ex: The landlady is clearing out the trash from the apartment so the new renters can move in.
