                                      ENGLISH PHRASAL VERBS

1. Hang Around

          - To spend time in a place or an area.

          Ex:

          1. They hung around the house the whole afternoon.

2. Freak Out

          - When someone becomes irrationally upset or angry, sometimes to the point of confusion.

                   Ex:

          1. Ravi nearly freaked out when he found out that his friend was dating an eighteen-year-old.

3. Go For

          - To try to obtain.

          Ex: My dad always told me to go for the gold.

4. Make For

          - To go in a certain direction, typically in a hurry.

          Ex:

          1. When we heard the news about the flood, we immediately made for the hills.

5. Have On

          - To wear clothing, cosmetics, perfume, etc.

          Ex:

          1. Priya had a ring on her finger last night, but now it is missing.
