AT- Specific Time

-         At 5 o’clock

ON – Days and Dates

-         On Monday

-         On New Year’s Eve

IN – Years, Months, Seasons

-         In 1991

-         In March

-         In the summer

-         In the next century

-         In the winter

 

In VS Into

In: Already inside

Use ‘in’ when something is already inside a place or thing.

Example: The cat is in the box.

Think of “in” as being about the location.

 

Into: Moving from outside to inside.

Use ‘into’ when something is moving from outside to inside.

Example: The cat jumped into the box.

Think of “into” as being about movement.
