          Word Stress – V

Pronouncing English words with a proper accent makes one’s language stylish and it will sound intelligible. Speaking with good pronunciation strengthens one’s confidence level in terms of communication in English.

Words ending with -ion at the end receive primary stress on the Penultimate Syllable, i.e., second from the last syllable. For example, station – STAtion, connection – conNECtion.

Practise the following orally by giving more prominence on the capitalized syllables.
